MAY en Plein Aire

Aloha May, Aloha Artists!  The plein air schedule for this month sticks close to town,  the farthest reaching locale is Pepeekeo. Next month school will be out for break, and the beaches will surge with kids, families, and our slow quiet little sessions will be different. Alas, I always find this the best time to head out of town. Hopefully our schedule next month will be some places off the beaten path. Far from the maddening crowds-- if you know what I mean.....

THE SCHEDULE-
MAY
3- WAI'ULI  BEACH PARK- Keaukaha , Hilo- Kalanianaole Ave to Keaukahaha, just before Richardson's. Parking, lua, 5 round pavilions in a row. Views for ever and a day... always gorgeous,
always beautiful.. find a quiet nook and set up.
10-OLD PEOPLE'S PARK- Hilo, behind Suisan- Lihiwai  street, past Suisan parking lot, turn left (makai), follow around to the parking lot... some big old monkey pod trees, a view of the small boat harbor, Hilo Ba y Shoreline with town views behind... very nice.
17-BABY BEACH-KEOKEA POINT- Keaukaha, Hilo- Kalanianaole Ave to Onekahakaha Rd, turn left then take the first left again, follow down to the first right, down to the shoreline gated parking..... nice small beach, little breakers, and some nice slope views..
24-LOW STORE/PEPEEKEO/ONOMEA- Scenic Route on the Pepeekeo side. A small bright store, with a park across the way. We can set up in the park and paint from there.... the church people are usually pretty  kind.
31-KINGS LANDING/Lehia Beach/PUMAILE/Keaukaha- From Hilo, Kalanianaole Ave to the very end. Pass thru the gate, and drive along the dirt road until you see the painting group, we'll be towards the back... always wonderful, always wild.........
pau.
