APRIL en plein aire

Aloha April, aloha artists!

April is always special on the windward side of Moku Nui (Big Island) Hawai'i... Merrie Monarch brings the entire vibe of hula into everything and everywhere. Town explodes with flowers, visitors, horses, fabulous aloha wear, craft fairs, kumu hula, vibrant dancers, and
gorgeous music. The energy of Hilo soars, and laughter lights the nights, it is a good thing.
As painters we can ride on the coat tails of all the hoopla and get into the swing of it..
Our painting schedule is wonderful, I hope you can join in!

APRIL SCHEDULE-

5- WAI'ULI, Keaukaha, Hilo- Kalaniana'ole Ave to the park just before Richaradson's. Our Headquarters. We meet here every first Thursday of each month. Fabulous views, it never fails.
12-WAILOA RIVER MOUTH- Kamehameha Hwy, Hilo. Across the River mouth from Suisan. Located across from the old Iron works bldg. There's a turn in to the shore line area Hilo side of Suisan Bridge, turn into entrance and loop back towards the river, there is a parking area and public facilities. Boats, Suisan views, Hilo Bay and some nice old monkey pod trees
19-HAKALAU VALLEY, Beach Park, Hakalau Hamakua- From Hilo, approx. 12 miles, or just past Honomu, turn makai onto Old Mamalahoa Hwy, follow past old mill site and into the valley. When you come to the place where the river runs over the road, don't be shy, just pass over it.. it's really minor. Unless of coarse the river is running hard!
26-KILOHANA, Saddle Rd.- Kaumana Dr. to the 43.5 mm. Turn Rt. onto dirt rd, go pass hunter's station. Painters are usually about 1/2 mile up or so.. you'll see us.. porta potty (foul).
If the gate is locked, the alternate location is just up the rd a bit to the next rd on the opposite side of the Hwy, at the Girl Scout Camp.. Phone service spotty.
