April Schedule/en plein aire

Aloha April! Well, the windward side of Hawaii has certainly had it's share of rain lately, almost twice the "norm", but no matter- all weather is beautiful. I always keep in mind that because of the rain, our forests, meadows, and roadside growth is vibrant and wonderful. The flowers will soon be abloom, and the sun will be warming our shoulders once again.
SCHEDULE- START 8AM (HAWAIIAN TIME) NO FEES, NO CRITIQUE, BRING YOUR OWN STUFFS
4/2-Wai'uli Beach Park-Keaukaha-just before Richardson's beach park.. 5 round pavilions, orange life guard tower on the point.. plenty parking.
4/9-Kalapana Drive-In- We are going out on the flow in front of the old Verna's. Take the Pahoa-Kalapana Hwy. to Kaimu, turn down & go to the Red Road,, turn right and go to the end of the road, about 1/4 mile.. walk out onto the flow or just paint the village area.. marvelous stuff.
4/16-Wailoa Park- in front of the Gallery.. can use the lanai if it rains, bathrooms available. Views of mountain, park, rolling hills, bridges, water, the old Iron Works bldg.
4/23-29 mile marker/ Saddle Road... I'll just say meet here cuz this is our usual favorite spot, but since recent fencing, there's less freedom of movement so we'll probably be past that marker a bit.. like somewhere around between the 29 mile marker and the 30, just look for some insane looking painters on the side of the road..
4/30-Kama'ili Cliff House- Red Road area, drive to Kaimu turn left on Gov't road towards Kapoho.. the house is on the makai side just 1/8 of a mile Kapoho side of the 17 mile marker. It is located between Kalani Resort and Opihikao. There's a for sale sign and large green pillars, two large gates will be open. We are so so lucky to have this opportunity again. Views of vent, cottages, lovely gardens.. good fun.
4/26- Sunday Morning..In front of the Tsunami Museum.... we'll see what we can pull out of this view... see you then.
